A week later ..

Little Jonny and I are doing well and after our first night which was quite horrendous ie I got 2.5 hour sleep we have settled into a little routine as he feeds every 3.5 hours and then goes straight back to sleep :)   He feeds like a trooper and like Charlie he is already wearing 0-3 months size clothes to accommodate his length.  Jonny has little ‘chicken arms and legs’ which I’m sure will fill out as he gets older, it just makes me smile every time I see them as Charlie had inherited her mums solid legs :)

If you ask Charlie ‘where’s Jonny ..’ she points to the bassinet in the corner and if he squawks she walks over to look in on him.  She has stopped patting him like a dog, which is good as she wasn’t exactly gentle but she is getting better and has worked out he doesn’t really want the toys she keeps trying to throw into his bassinet :)

Yesterday we went on our first family outing to formally register Jonny (so now he is officially a REAL person), we thought we were doing so well with our timings and it still took two of us 1.5 hours to get the 4 of us out of the house – heavens knows how long its going to take me on my own – ekkk!

So we get to the registry office and Ian gets asked if he is willing to accept his paternal responsibilities … bit late to say No now :)

Thank you to Aunty Emms and Uncle Jonny for his Harrods bear which arrived yesterday :)

Jonny and Mum both doing very well, we hope they’ll be home tomorrow.

So after the drama of a 31 hour labour and an emergency Cesar with Charlie, the delivery of JJ was pretty straight forward.  As the midwife said “it’s easier when they come out of the sun roof!”.

We went to hospital at 8am and were in theatre by mid day, 32 minutes later Jonathan was in my arms, it really was that straight forward.  In the recovery room he fed straight away and (touch wood) has continued in the same fashion all day.

We think he looks a lot like Charlie when she was first born, although he doesn’t have as much of a smiley nose!

Thanks to all for your best wishes, both on here and Facebook.

I took these a couple of weeks ago and she has come along nicely with her walking as she is not wobbling so much and even now trying to run .. so now I need eyes in the back of my head and the ability to move fast  which given my current condition can be challenging :)

Although in this one I think she is starting her career as bag lady!

The little Missy Moo has been able to turn our TV on and off (usually while Ian is trying to watch a football match and always at the wrong time) for a while now but she has recently learned to turn on the amp and the sky box as well!  Before we know it she will have worked out how to change the channel to Playhouse Disney!  When she has done something she thinks is clever she claps to herself – its very cute to see :)

Here are a few pic’s of the second and certainly the heaviest dump of snow we got last night and here I was thinking we would get away with just a light sprinkle – not so!  The kids are off school and outside making the most of the sledging slops and you can hear ‘faster dad, faster ..’ as the poor dads are dragging their kids around the village :)

Lets just say I’m pleased our central heating is back working after being without it for 3 days and the repair man spending 6 hours fixing it!

Our cottage and our front garden taken on our door step;

Frozen duck pond and up the village;

our cars and view looking towards our cottage;

I’m sure all of you who are enjoying the fab weather Wellington is putting on for the 7’s this weekend are so envious!!!  NOT!

He brushed her hair one night after her bath and before she went to bed .. she ended up with a real affro!  I’m sure she will really appreciate these photos in her teenage years – NOT!

Cuddles before the girls go to bed :)

Not only have we had one of the worst summers, we have had the coldest winter since 1962 and we have had more snow than in the last 20 years … yay me moving to the UK!

Its two weeks today before the little man makes an appearance (assuming of course that he doesn’t come early..) and currently my belly measures just under 48 inches or 122 cms!

As I really have no pride left I’ve taken a couple of pic’s so you can see my belly ..
