Day 3 of flying solo with both kids as Ian is in London all week for  training for his new job and so far so good – I haven’t felt the need to consume large amounts of wine in the evening nor have I given our dogs away yet :)

The little man is growing and now likes to spend a little bit of his day actually wake and looking around at his new environment rather then just feeding and sleeping.  Charlie is charlie and is a constant delight to Ian and I as she continues to learn new things.. Her latest trick is to turn the TV, amp and sky box off if we don’t turn on HER TV channel!  Little monkey!

Here are a couple of latest pic’s of them both :)   Not sure how I ended up with the son who looks like a little Maori boy – but he is gorgeous :)

My boy looks good in Black .. much to his father disgust!!

A month after having little Jonny I am now able to get back into my pre Jonny jeans – the ones which don’t have an elastic waist band!  And well on the way to my pre-Charlie weight – breast feeding is having more benefits then just feeding my little man :)

And its means I don’t wear these anymore as they are now to BIG :)

Charlie and Megan playing :)

Charlie has a basket full of toys and yet she loves to play with the cushions and a blanket!

We think this is quite funny – its her attempts at jumping :)

Enjoy!

Due to lots of requests, here are the latest pic’s of the little man or the ‘big boy’ as his father calls him.  We had another visit from the Health visitor this week and he has put on 500g in 10 days and now weights just under 5kgs!  Ian and I are already looking at his baby capsule and wondering how long before he is to big for it!

Just to show you how scrawny his legs are I’ve included a picture of Charlies legs – although she is a few weeks older in this photo I think there is no denying the difference.  I’m sure she will have words with me over this post in a few years!

Cathcing flies …

oh so cute..

A very cool dude!

Even David Beckham would envy this hair..

And of course, got to end the post with a photo of Charlie and Ian taken last night.

On Saturday 28th February Megan turned 6 years old.

The day started with Anna, Neil and Megan arriving at our house for Megan’s breakfast where she requested her Dad’s special bacon and egg sarnies :)

We then opened her presents from us and then it was time to go off to her birthday party.  In the aim of trying to do something different, she and 6 of her friends painted pottery and then went on a tour around a animal farm/petting zoo.  They even had snakes and Ian was very brave to over come his fear of snakes and actually patted one … ekk!

Megan decided she wanted a train as her birthday cake and Ian volunteered to make this for her – as the picture we had was quite boyish, Ian decided to make it into the Fairy Express and for a first time cake decorator he got the thumbs up from Megan, the girls and all the Mum’s who were very impressed with his efforts :)

We then had Anna’s family (Mum, Dad and sister) and Ian’s brother Gordon and Sam around for a early supper to do the family celebration of her birthday.  Needless to say she had a great day and all the adults also enjoyed themselves.

The next day as the sun was out, we took the girls down to the local park for a play on the swings etc.

Charlie loves the swing and Megan was trying to show Charlie how to ride this toy.
